Superbalist's official first-purchase offer gives new customers R400 off an order of R1,000 or more, using the code FIRSTBUY at checkout. This guide sets out the exact terms from Superbalist's own page, shows how much you really save at different basket sizes, and covers the other ways to shop Superbalist for less in South Africa.
Bottom line: FIRSTBUY takes R400 off a first order of R1,000 or more, so a R1,000 basket costs R600. It excludes sale items and cannot be combined with another promo, so fill the basket with full-price items. Terms checked on Superbalist's first-buy page on 25 September 2026. Confirm them at checkout, since offers change.

How to Use the Superbalist First Order Code
- Create an account on Superbalist. The code is for first-time shoppers only.
- Add full-price items worth R1,000 or more to your cart.
- Enter FIRSTBUY in the promo code field at checkout.
- Check that the order total shows R400 off before you pay.
Superbalist's page also says you get free delivery on the first purchase when you use the promo code.
How Much Do You Actually Save?
The discount is a fixed R400, so the percentage you save shrinks as the basket grows. It is worth the most right at the R1,000 minimum:
| Basket | You pay | Saving |
|---|---|---|
| R1,000 | R600 | 40% |
| R1,500 | R1,100 | About 27% |
| R2,000 | R1,600 | 20% |
Do not pad a basket with items you would not otherwise buy just to reach R1,000. A saving only counts if you needed the products.

View Superbalist Deals →Sale Items and the Code Are Separate Ways to Save
FIRSTBUY excludes products that are on sale, and only one promo code or offer works per checkout. In practice that gives you two routes for a first order. Use the code on a R1,000 basket of full-price items, or shop the Sale section at its marked-down prices without the code. Add up both baskets before deciding, because a large sale-only basket can beat a R400 code on full-price items.
Delivery, Click + Collect and Payment Options
- Free delivery: Superbalist lists free delivery on orders over R750.
- Click + Collect: a collection option you can choose instead of home delivery.
- Payment: Superbalist lists credit card, debit card, cash on delivery and EFT.
- Range: the page says the store carries over 450 brands across women's, men's, kids', home and living, beauty and sport.
Other Ways to Shop Superbalist for Less
- Sale and Offers sections: both appear in Superbalist's main menu, and sale prices apply without a code.
- Gift vouchers: Superbalist sells gift vouchers, which can suit a present for someone else.
- Black Friday: Superbalist runs a Black Friday 2026 page. Black Friday in South Africa falls on 27 November, and our Black Friday guide covers the dates and how to check a discount is real.
A Note on Other Superbalist Codes
Coupon sites list many Superbalist codes, and plenty stop working. On its own first-buy page, Superbalist publishes FIRSTBUY. Treat any other code as unverified until it works at your checkout, and see our explainer on how promo codes work in South Africa.
